Dear Scott: We received the paddle you made and I have to say it is very well made and looks very nice. It is also very effective. My wife wanted to hang it on cuphook in the kitchen as a kind of reminder, so that is where it is. After we received it we sat down with the kids and went over the when, why, and how it was to be used when necessary for acts of disobedience, disrespect and other things. No more screaming and yelling anymore. We have used it several times and there have been many tears shed because it teaches a stinging lesson, but one the children remember. The children do not like to be taught better behavior by being paddled and as a result of being paddled their behavior is improving steadily. There is much more harmony already.
